We are seeking a strong financial leader to serve as a partner to the Plant Manager. The position will be located in Plant 5 of our Whitehall, MI operations and will provide an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who desires career growth within Arconic. This position has responsibility for directing the finance functions at Ti-Cast, HIP, and HSM operations and reports to the Plant Manager with a strong dotted line relationship to the Business Unit financial management team. 
 
Key Responsibilities include:
 
  • Identifying key levers to drive business improvement.
  • Providing leadership to ensure implementation of business improvement opportunities.
  • Determining, in conjunction with plant management, targeted goals for performance measures of quality, productivity, delivery, cycle time, inventory optimization and profitability.
  • Deploying business unit initiatives.
  • Forecasting, planning, and analyzing business results.
  • Analyzing data for decision making and tracking performance progress.
  • Coordinating the capital appropriation process and post-project reviews.
  • Ensuring completion of Arconic’s Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls.
  • Driving year over year cost reduction initiatives/step-change improvements.
  • Managing and implementing efficient and effective daily management/forecasting/budgeting systems, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to accurate forecast and plan results to meet expectations of Arconic shareholders and stakeholders.
  • Reviewing financial statements and account reconciliations with follow up and corrective action as needed.
  • Clearly and concisely communicating location results in comparison to forecast, plan and performance objectives.
  • Providing financial leadership for evaluation of projects, plans and investments.
  • Assuring accurate, current and complete information for government contracts.
  • Complying with Arconic, AEN and location policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Accountability for validity of location financial statements and representations.
  • Developing and following standard work to ensure location, BU, and Arconic Corporate deadlines are met.
  • Promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: 
  • BS in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • 7+ years related financial/controllership work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
 
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • MBA, CMA and/or CPA
  • Plant Controller experience for a manufacturing facility with at least $200 million in annual revenues.
  • At least 2 year’s supervisory experience with the ability to manage and develop Staff (Financial and Operational)
  • High proficiency in using MS Office software, experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems, project management, multi-tasking and developing/executing data queries.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a high pressure/high intensity environment.
  • Strong cost accounting skills – Multi level Routing and Bill of material Cost Accounting Experience.
  • Ability to dig for details and work on challenging projects.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner to non-finance personnel.
