Arconic Engineered Structures (AES) is seeking a high-level finance/accounting leader to become the controller in Lafayette, IN. This role reports to the AES Segment Controller. The AES Location Controller position reports to and is a strategic business partner to the Location Manager. The position is primarily responsible for all functional accounting and control activities for the location. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate across functions and help drive business initiatives with accurate financial planning, tracking and reporting.

Profile: The Controller will manage business unit forecasting, planning, reporting, consolidation and analysis functions and develop and manage processes to ensure compliance with ASAT and other internal audit requirements and will provide leadership to Financial Analysts and Assistant Controller.
Essential Functions: 
  • Serve as a member of the Location’s Lead Team and act as a business partner to the Location Lead Team as they develop and implement business strategy.
  • Acts as a catalyst for change and helps drive business performance improvement
  • Manage planning, reporting, consolidation and analysis functions and develop and manage processes to ensure compliance with ASAT and other internal audit requirement, as well as US GAAP and Arconic report requirements. Understands, reviews, and communicates key drivers for location success.
  • Drives engagement to financials of the operations.
  • Creates and monitors internal controls that allow operations to meet the financial plan.
  • Insures strict adherence to Arconic code of conduct and corporate policy.
  • Manages location performance pay plan.
  • Lead initiatives to close gaps from current performance to benchmark level.
  • Develop strong internal cost control systems to ensure that plans are met.
  • Insure compliance with all audits requirement.
  • Develop systems to insure maximum profit generation and maximize working capital from all areas of the business.
  • Create an environment where problems are solved to the root cause.
  • Create an environment where systems are used to accurately plan and deliver according to expectations. Continuously drive for process improvements.
  • Lead the finance team, coach and develop the team, develop a strong succession plan for key roles.
Essential Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Mastery of Technology Skills — Accounting and Finance software: Hyperion, Oracle E-Business Suite; Spreadsheet software: Microsoft Excel; Office Suite software: Microsoft Office

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience managing or supervising others in a direct reporting relationship
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or consulting experience highly desirable.
