Job summary
Drive continuous improvement efforts to meet organizational goals using Lean Six Sigma and Arconic Business System (ABS) techniques. Collect and prepare data and provide support to Continuous Improvement department by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions
Follow Howmet’s Safety Regulations and work Rules Handbook along with all department specific safety requirements.
Participate in and help lead successful kaizen events with both internal and external consultants, customers, and suppliers, with a major emphasis on locally focused improvement.
Assist in the collection of data for tracking and identifying improvement opportunity.
Lead problem solving and follows up on action items.
Coordinate with resource departments to develop and implement improvements.
Assists with developing, implementation, and auditing of standardized work and daily management.
Monitors cell operations and works with shop floor and team leaders to drive improvement
Performs scheduled audits of the cells which include 6S and Daily Management
Maintains effective metrics and establishes meaningful feedback to dept. supervisors / leaders and operators
Determines action plan when audits fail and follow up activities
Prioritize, guide, and facilitate continuous improvement activities of the manufacturing teams to meet organizational goals, initiatives and requirements.
Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
Must comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and occasional overtime


Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of the Arconic Business System, Toyota Production System (TPS) and/or Lean Six Sigma.
5 years lean manufacturing experience
