Job Description

The Arconic Business System (ABS - lean and continuous improvement) is an integrated set of systems and tools organized to provide a common language and unencumbered transfer of knowledge across businesses and geographies. It focuses on serving customer demand by emphasizing the elimination of all waste and making what the customer wants, when the customer wants it. The ABS Engineer will provide consulting support to the business for effective and efficient implementation of ABS to employees and managers. Located at 3960 Marginal Road
Job Responsibilities:
    • Assessment and diagnosis of problems of a process, quality and cultural/people perspective
    • Designing and prioritizing the development plan and metrics for closing the gap of current and target business change
    • Teaching and coaching during execution of plan to help create a self-sufficient and continuous improvement culture


  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.  
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or manufacturing from an accredited institution.
  • Green Belt or black belt experience preferred
  • Ability to work with influencing managers and employees and driving major change initiatives with diverse groups is preferred
  • Solid understanding of ABS and/or Toyota Production System is preferred
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience with lean and Continuous Improvement
