The Compliance Specialist I is a critical entry-level role that will work closely with the Compliance Manager in the day to day activities to develop and implement a comprehensive, effective, and efficient compliance programs. The position will provide administrative support in this area, and the ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the ability to research and analyze system, process and product requirements, as well as be familiar with writing project reports, policies and/or meeting minutes a must.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
• Policies and Procedures: Assists with the development and implementation of policies, procedures and practices for the general compliance and operations. Prepares policy summaries and answers questions regarding policies from both internal and external sources.
• Education and Training: Assists with developing and writing educational documents as well as working to ensure that all appropriate business partners, employees and management are knowledgeable of and comply with, pertinent federal and state standards.
• Reporting and Corrective Action Plan: Under the guidance of the Compliance Manager, prepares audit/compliance reports including recommendations based on findings/observations. Develops/implements corrective action plans for the resolution of problematic issues.
• Communication: Establishes and maintains open lines of communication, both internal and external, to effectively present department services (e.g., Hotline), policies, procedures and programs.
• Auditing and Monitoring: Assist with the investigation, review and analysis of general QMS/Nadcap/SMS compliance, and other matters to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and internal policies. Helps identify areas for audit opportunities based on industry performance, regulatory focus areas and risk areas within the organization.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years compliance / regulatory experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to learn and understand compliance related government regulations. Must possess ability to function effectively with customers, co-workers and others.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication skills.
• Quality Assurance experience in Aerospace or Automotive environment is preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Demonstrates integrity, credibility, and confidentiality required.
