Primary Purpose of the Job
Prepare, Conduct and Manage all aspects of Kawneer’s internal and external training programs.

Major activities/Key challenges
  • Develop & Manage Best-In-Class Training Programs for Internal and external customers
  • Conduct live and remote training sessions for internal personnel and external customers
  • Provide commercial soft-skills training for Sales and Front-End personnel
  • Market and Promote availability of training services (Customers, Unions, Sales Agencies)
  • Maintain Training Department budget
  • Plan and execute logistics for training sessions (venues, materials procurement & shipment, lodging)
  • Direct manage PartnerPak Specialists position
  • Develop and maintain AIA Continuing education programs
  • Apply technology to enhance overall effectiveness of training (webinars, YouTube video)
  • Manage and Develop Training Instructors
  • Provide feedback to New Product Development and Marketing staff on product instructions and publications
  • Maintain safe working practices and environments during training and mock-up sessions
  • Travel to locations throughout North America to conduct training
Major Customers
  • Kawneer Commercial Organization – Front End, Sales Trainees
  • External – Kawneer Customer base including installers and distributor
  • New Kawneer Employees

Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with commercial building products.
•Minimum of 1 year training experience in a corporate setting.
•Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Glass & Metals Industry.
  • Basic Computer Skills with emphasis on PowerPoint.
  • Ability to plan/conduct training sessions within available time periods.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills (i.e. speaking to large, diverse groups of 10-40 attendees).
  • Ability to forecast, execute and reconcile annual budgets for department.
  • Ability to manage internal reports.
  • Experience with Kawneer or similar competitive products supplied to the glass and glazing industry.
  • Ability to comprehend Kawneer Product information and teach same to others.
  • Willingness to travel throughout North America and Europe.
