Arconic is currently searching for a Commercial Analyst to support our Global Rolled Products (GRP) HQ business unit in Cranberry Township, PA. 
The selected candidate may also work in our Pittsburgh, PA location.

The Commercial Analyst will provide financial guidance and leadership to the GRP Commercial Organization concerning commercial forecasting & planning, forecast transparency, market models, long-term contracts, product profitability, hedging strategy, and any other financial matter impacting the GRP Commercial Organization.

  • Key team member the GRP Sales and Operations Planning team, with specific responsibility for the maintenance of a single commercial data source covering revenue, volumes per customer at a high level of detail;
  • Lead, in conjunction with the Commercial Controller, monthly and quarterly profitability committee meetings;
  • Support and assist with the annual planning, monthly forecasting deployment and analysis.  Specific responsibility over the processes involving the Top Line;
  • Develop and drive process to manage revenue growth initiatives across the global business;
  • Monthly hedging strategy development and management. Key GRP liaison with the corporate Trading Desk;
  • Competitive analysis and benchmarking- further develop competitor data resources and reviews incorporating key cost curve understanding;
  • Support the budgeting process for the Sales and Marketing organization.
  • Maintain a contract data base (procurement and commercial), and support the contract approval process including preparation for CEO review;
  • Key support to customer contract negotiation teams.  Input on financial modelling, commodity risk analysis and proposed mitigation structure;
  • Support the operating locations on revenue related items as specified in commercial contracts;
  • Coordinate regional efforts use benchmarking to drive performance. Help identify opportunities for improvements through standardization of processes and consolidation of functions;
  • Help coordinate and deploy business unit initiatives, and continue to improve the forecast update process;
  • Perform ad-hoc BU business analyses on revenue, costs and profitability levers.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years’ financial experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Finance from an accredited institution
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred;
  • Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a high intensity environment;
  • Outstanding communication, leadership and teamwork skills;
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, attention to detail, the ability to quickly synthesize and interpret data;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • High proficiency in using MS Office software, experience in using queries, including Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle or similar systems;
  • Ability to dig for details and identify root cause issue;
  • Thorough understanding of revenue accounting, product costing and profitability analysis;
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate self-motivation and initiative;
  • Desire to build a strong understanding of the business.
