Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking CNC/lathe Operators.  This position is located at our Aerospace manufacturing plant in Tucson, AZ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for production of parts meeting print and specification requirements
     
  • Performs the monitoring of production machines, such as CNC/lathes
 
  • Assists with inspecting components to the proper customer and production specifications and prepares inspection forms.
 
  • Performs 5-S duties on a regular basis as necessary.
 
  • Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
 
  • Helps to ensure that quality and standards for the department are adhered to and maintained.
 
  • Assumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required.
     
  • Adheres to Arconic EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other Company Policies.

  • Proficient in Basic Math
  • Proficient in Reading
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using reasoning and decisionmaking skills to ensure quality work
  • Ability to regularly communicate and work with a team
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • Must be flexible to work other shifts
  • Must be able to use caliphers, micrometers and optical comparator
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position
 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum three years CNC operating experience
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • G Code program experience
  • Experience utilizing a computer to input statistical process control (SPC data)
  • Experience with Omniturn Lathes
