The Certifications Supervisor will report to the Director and Metallurgy and Customer Technical Services, and is responsible for the efficient completion of all tasks necessary to produce product / material certifications and related documents. Additionally, the position manages all aspects of the Certification Department and its employees.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Generate test reports / product certifications attesting that material produced meets or exceeds customer requirements;
  • Release material after review of test results (i.e. check that the test plan is correct and that test results meet requirements);
  • Maintain critical documents according to document retention procedures and customer requirements;
  • Review, comment, and implement new/revised customer and internal specifications on an on-going basis;
  • Review and update procedures as required;
  • Primary contact for internal and external customers and quality auditors to solve problems, answer questions, etc. regarding certification documents and procedures;
  • Actively drive business process improvements, including aspects of the development and implementation of new tools (e.g. Wavefront LIMS);
  • Support all areas of Arconic operations as needed with regards to certifications;
  • Provides direction, training, and coaching to employees within the department to established procedures and policies;
  • Manager C&T employees’ time cards.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with technical documents and material specifications;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to understand / learn technical documents and material specifications;
  • Strong problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work efficiently, with minimal direction, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be prepared to support business plan, including ability to work weekends;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills;
  • Impeccable integrity; strong work-ethic; reliable; individually accountable;
  • Team orientation;
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry and OEM customer Titanium alloy material specifications;
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles;
  • Experience with SAP.
