Job Description

Arconic Inc.’s Tennessee Operations is seeking an experienced Capital Project Engineering Leader for our Central Engineering Group. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the Central Engineering Group, managing all aspects of the Tennessee Operations capital budget and providing engineering support for various projects across the plant site.

The successful incumbent will also provide technical solutions to recurring design, process and application problems.  This is a key role with specific accountability for planning and managing the site capital priorities, project portfolio, evaluating risk, and capital spending forecasts.  This person will also develop, manage and implement capital projects, and direct the activities of multi-discipline engineers (Internal and external).


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ engineering experience in manufacturing;
  • Experience in justifying, managing and installing capital projects;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes and principles, equipment and components to include, facilities and industrial infrastructure, cranes, electrical power systems, control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, etc.;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project leadership and engineering, equipment specification, project scope development, estimating and project financial controls;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in equipment repair and replacement analysis, engineering economics, and capital project investment analysis;
  • Working knowledge of heavy industrial equipment and infrastructure;
  • Broad engineering, operations, and maintenance background;
  • Strong engineering and technical leadership skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work with cross functional engineering and operations teams;
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills;
