Arconic Engines is seeking a Buyer for the procurement and planning of material to meet production requirements for on-time delivery.  This includes the accurate assignment, tracking and documentation for the manufacturing process.  This position will be responsible for the purchasing services, supplies, and parts for the facility's production equipment needs as well as all consumables purchasing for the facility's requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to source appropriate vendors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Obtain competitive bids, review and analyze price quotations
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers using Arconic approved protocols and policies
  • Work with existing vendors to develop and evaluate them as qualified suppliers
  • Expedite the delivery of critical equipment and materials, meeting all required deadlines
  • Efficiently maintain Purchase Orders and all related records, following established Accounting and Arconic protocols
  • Work with the Finance department to establish annual purchasing budgets
  • Develop and maintain ongoing purchasing cost saving initiatives
  • All other duties as directed by management
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
