Arconic is currently in search of a Buy and Payment Center Specialist to join the Global Shared Services group in Pittsburgh, PA.
 
This position resides in the Global Shared Services (GSS) – Financial Services organization and is responsible for supporting the US Customer Service team within the Buy and Payment Team globally. ​Primary purpose includes:
  • Accounts Payable issue resolution for Strategic Raw Materials (SRM)
  • Complex transactional accounts payable work for Aluminum, indirect, and direct materials
  • Accounts Payable & Purchasing project-based work, as needed
 
Major Activities/Key Challenges:
  • Become the subject matter expert in full end-to-end requisition-to-pay process.
  • Recommend remedies for solving major gaps in Strategic Raw Materials procedures for buying and accounts payable
  • Process invoices and resolve invoices on hold, as needed
  • Plan, execute, and manage assigned projects to improve relationships with internal customers
  • Responsible for compliance within his/her daily work
  • Documentation of daily work including Work Instructions and Metrics
  • Owns responsibility for final resolution of any issues that arise out of the daily work. 
  • Learn and deploy Arconic’s standards, policies, procedures, and optimized processes.
 
Essential Knowledge & Skills/Education:
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Willingness to learn advanced accounts payable functions and solve complex accounts payables problems
  • Understanding of the requirements for Aluminum and Strategic Raw Materials
  • Understanding and meeting the needs of the business and its processes

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year prior experience in supply chain, IT, or finance OR 1 year experience working at Arconic.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oracle ERP experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
  • Knowledge of the requisition-to-pay process
  • Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Highly proficient skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
