Arconic Engineered Structures (AES) is seeking a business segment Demand Planner.  The business segment Demand Planner will report to the Global Segment Supply Chain SIOP Manager. The primary responsibilities are the delivery of the demand volume, and the continued development of volume through analyzing trends and reacting with revisions within the segment. The assigned business segment consists of 15 locations globally that represent $1B of sales revenue in Extrusion, Forgings, Investment Casting and Machining of primarily Aluminum alloys for the Aerospace, Defense, Automotive and Industrial markets.  The ideal candidate will engage stakeholders, anticipate challenges, drive revenue growth, proactively bring solutions, and champion integrity. Position Profile: Responsible for development of the business segment demand volume at the aggregate and detailed levels with clear statement of assumptions and supporting data. Leads the monthly segment demand review process to deliver a consensus demand plan for the SIOP process. Analyzes demand trends and order input volume to reconcile and collaborate with the supply organization to take appropriate on differences between the demand plan and actual orders.


Essential Functions: The Al Segment Demand Planner position within AES includes both creation of strategic vison and tactical management and execution, examples include but are not limited to:
  • Drives process for developing the monthly consensus volume demand plan for the 24-month horizon, reconciling with the commercial revenue outlook
  • Supports the SIOP process through inputs and inclusion of the product plan, delivering the demand plan, collaborates with the supply planning and reconciliation of the Supply/Demand balance
  • Analyzes demand trends, statistical models, sales plans, customer input and other demand drivers to develop and improve the demand forecast
  • Analyzes current orders, supporting and controlling the balance of orders to forecast consumption, tracking performance to the demand plan
  • Measures and drives demand forecast accuracy improvement
  • Communicates, networks with and processes all relevant demand information into actionable plans
  • Leads development of demand strategies, policies, and supporting the business customer service levels, inventory and lead times
  • Works with commercial team to prioritize demand if supply constrained
  • Identifies forecast risks and develops effective mitigation plans
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  •Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
•Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution
•8 years’ minimum of combined experience in supply planning, supply chain/operations
•Advanced proficiency of MS Office tools
•Quantitative and qualitative data analysis including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs
•Experience leading process improvement initiatives
•Strong influence skills
