Job Summary
Remove burrs from machined surfaces and create either an edge break or radius using automated equipment and/or hand tools.
 
Essential Functions Remove burrs from the machined surfaces and create either an edge or radius Buff oxidation off parts prior to weld operation Remove weld flush using hand tools or bader machine Inspect uncertified operators work Mark serial/part numbers as required using hand tools or dot peen marking machine Send parts through water flow Power wash or ultrasonic clean parts as required Perform first piece inspection Support production needs in other areas as required like waterflow, airflow, shot peen, dot peen, etc.
 
Job Responsibilities Maintain 6S and other area housekeeping standards Execute clean-up shift procedures Maintain visual control boards and hour X hour charts Participate and actively promote continuous improvement activities Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook Actively participate, promote and comply with all Quality and EH&S programs and policies Achieve and maintain certified status Maintain acceptable attendance Perform all other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Education: High school diploma
2. Skills and Abilities: Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimal and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, writing diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge. Ability to comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions Ability to problem solve and make logical decisions
3. Experience: Minimum of 3 months related experience Manufacturing experience preferred

6. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is required. Other personal protective equipment required in production areas are safety glasses with side shields, metatarsal safety shoes and gloves.
