Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
 
We have an immediate opening at our Kawneer Norcross, GA headquarters for a B2B Marketing Communications Content Specialist.  The primary focus of this role is to create effective, timely and professional communications/content for our key industry audiences and will serve as lead copywriter/storyteller for the Marketing Department. The Specialist will primarily be responsible for our digital/multimedia content with emphasis on writing/communications assignments; helping build our marketing video library/offering -scripting, photography, digital asset management. This role will support a variety of initiatives to enhance brand recognition and lead generation, including, but not limited to website content, social media, direct marketing, trade advertising to support the overall marketing plan.
 
The ideal candidate should have a strong B2B writing portfolio, including some experience in videography, photography, digital asset management media and graphic design. The ideal candidate will have a creative mindset, current technology and digital media knowledge along with the ability to interpret our value proposition and market needs to write/create compelling content with high visual impact.  The Specialist will use a variety of software, and methods – in-house and with outside resource partners to combine writing and digital media to deliver compelling and rich B2B content.
 
Duties & Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Effective B2B content creation, copywriting for a variety of marketing channels; video, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, communications/bulletins, websites, press releases, social media, and other identified media, with emphasis on original writing and editing to support marketing efforts.
  • Write clear and persuasive copy for a variety of media, transforming ideas into words.
  • Expert-level writing, spelling and grammar skills – solid knowledge of AP style with ability to adapt to brand voice, ensuring materials are on time, error-free, and optimized to deliver on strategy and goals.
  • Revise, edit, and proofread content for clarity, style, tone, accuracy and consistency as needed or directed.
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, and be a fast learner with ability to establish project deliverables in high output environment.
  • Support website updates/content development in conjunction with marketing team; reviews data to analyze activity for further enhancements/adjustments to deliver fresh, rich digital B2B content.
  • Create and develop multimedia (video/audio) content for customer/influencer stories, external promotional social videos, product and market segment videos and customer training/explainer videos (eBusiness website).
  • Oversee and/or execute the complete creative process including, but not limited to, concepting, story boarding, project management, script writing, budgeting, editing, animating, voice over, post production, file management on public facing sites (YouTube), analytics and performance tracking.
  • Interact with customers and key stakeholders to help them tell their stories through video.
  • Write creative briefs and develop production schedules.
  • Manage video/graphic/photo library and assets.
  • Execute special assignments as determined by Director, Marketing, Kawneer, North America

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism/Communications or Multimedia/Video from an accredited institution. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in a B2B marketing/marketing communications role.
  • 1+ years digital content development experience, including video (can include internships and co-op experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 + years’ experience with applicable software such as Adobe Premier and After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro, or similar
  • 2 + years’ experience with Publisher and Adobe Creative Suite required - Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and GoLive (HTML) or comparable software suite
  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office Suite required, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Creative and analytic aptitude along with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic marketing/marketing communications principles and proven writing ability, in a B2B environment
  • Demonstrable creative skills in original writing and digital content creation including video
  • Strong interpersonal skills for on-camera subject interview a plus
  • Marketing automation experience; Salesforce.com and Pardot experience a plus
  • Accountability – attention to detail and accuracy essential
  • Strong communication skills required – written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to interact effectively in a team environment with both internal and external customers
  • Current with leading software and technologies
  • Experience with MS Office programs including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Possess strong conceptualization skills to take ideas to end products
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with varying levels of management, sales staff, customers and suppliers
  • Ability to be proactive and take initiative with minimal guidance on projects
  • Some knowledge of the commercial construction industry desirable
