POSITION IS LOCATED IN KENTUCKY - JEFFERSONTOWN / LOUISVILLE REGION. 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership, strategic direction, and support to multiple automotive (OEMs, Tier 1, and Outside Processors) and industrial facilities within a designated region.  The role will be the primary conduit between Arconic and the Customer and manage all aspects of the account and interactions once Commercial completes the negotiations.  The role is a Manufacturing function that will manage the Automotive Customers similar to how the Aerospace Sales Managers manage the Aerospace Customers.  The job plays a critical role in driving and improving Customer satisfaction. The job is instrumental in driving continual improvement of the Ford Supplier Performance Review (SPR) score.  He/She will have direct accountability/responsibility for developing the strategy and actionable items to deliver an improved scorecard.  He/She will oversee customer support for flow issues, manufacturing problem solving, and ensure that customer requirements and standards are understood, maintained, and adhered to.  The Automotive Site Technical Manager is an integral part of the Field Service Engineering organization, providing connection between the customers’ facilities and the Arconic plant. The job requires a high degree of interaction with Customers, Quality, Sales, Commercial, Product Applications, SCM, Manufacturing, and Procurement. So, he/she must be able to rely on a diverse skillset to provide guidance to customers, to the sales and marketing team, and to production and quality to solve problems. Also, the successful candidate will develop relationships, maintain standards, participate in quarterly Ford SPR meetings, and participate in Arconic kaizens. POSITION IS LOCATED IN KENTUCKY - JEFFERSONTOWN / LOUISVILLE REGION.

Major Activities/Key Challenges:
  • Direct responsibility/accountability to develop strategy and action items that will deliver improved Customer Satisfaction
  • Serve as primary conduit between Arconic and the Customer as well as manage all aspects of the account and interactions once Commercial completes the negotiations
  • Maintain overall customer scorecard and cascade scorecard metrics to departments
  • Oversee customer support for flow issues, manufacturing problem solving, and ensure that customer requirements and standards are understood, maintained, and adhered to.
  • Facilitate resources and materials to rapidly solve problems
  • Address and provide solutions to resolve systemic high level pinch-point issues
  • Interface with All Levels and Functions of the Customer, Suppliers, Outside Processors and Arconic
  • Drive actions for improved performance (manufacturing, quality, delivery, engineering, launch, and cost)
  • Attend strategic sessions with Arconic GRP managers to ensure plant requirements are stated and supported
  • Function as a subject matter expert across scheduling, casting, materials management (including scrap and commercial metals) continually driving optimization to increase overall system effectiveness
  • React swiftly to upset conditions across the interactive functional areas in order to minimize disruptions and quickly re-establishing normal flow
  • Establish interaction and connection with each location of responsibility
  • Manage strong relationships with Customer critical positions – address the Voice of the Customer
  • Develop and understand knowledge/intel of competitors approach and best practices
  • Support and assist resident Ford KTP / DKPI FSE with customer issue resolution as needed
  • Serve as primary FSE contact at assigned Industrial and Automotive OEMs, OSPs, and Tier 1 customers in designated region
  • Assist with containment activities, corrective actions, and writing claims as needed.
  • Facilitate required Customer / Arconic meetings as needed
  • Support all new model launches

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution and relevant work experience
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a manufacturing aluminum and/or blanking environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
