Job Description

This weekend crew position will be located in our Plant 4, Thermatech Coatings Operation and will provide oversight for sustaining operation and repair of automated equipment.  The Automation Technician will assist Product, Process, and Manufacturing Engineers to improve operating processes, cycle times, quality, OEE and labor utilization by use of automating processes.  Working hours for this position will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:45 PM – 6:45 AM)
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Programming, troubleshooting, developing, and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
  • Plant technical support for maintaining all robotic and automation equipment.
  • Interact with and provide guidance for maintenance personnel to repair equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekend coverage, and respond to critical call requests.


Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one-year experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Successfully meet the standardized Pre-Visor testing requirements. If applicant possesses a minimum of an associate degree, testing is not required.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline.
  • Hands-on relevant experience evaluating automated equipment and processes and solving automated equipment issues.
