Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. 
 
We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Project Manager - Customer Service in our Kawneer business which is located in Harrisonburg, VA.  This position will also be groomed for future project management career paths if that is where an incumbent's career interest lies.
 
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
 
  • Provides a customer focused environment through supporting the Harrisonburg Front End Project Management team and customers with key back-end support in order transfers;
  • Creates quick quotes:
  • Checks order acknowledgements;
  • Processes sales tax credits, and other related administrative work.  This position will also be groomed for future project management career paths.
Major Activities and Key Challenges Include:
  • Process order transfers for custom doors;
  • Process replacement orders;
  • Process credits and feedbacks;
  • Immediate help chain for current project managers and help with coverage for PM training, vacation/sick time
  • Customer service for a small group of customers.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Comprehensive computer experience including the use of MS Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry.
  • 1 year of experience in Customer Service.
