Job Description

The primary function of this position involves testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment as well as maintaining, repairing, replacing, adjusting, and modifying the facility's tools and equipment.

Essential Job Duties
  • Must be willing to work Monday through Friday from 5am to 1:30pm, occasional Saturday work
  • Obtain work schedule from supervisor, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations
  • Coordinate activies with operations, engineering, mechanical personnel, and contract personnel
  • Perform troubleshooting as needed to identify potential or actual electrical equipment problems
  • Work with electrical systems such as generators, exciters, transformers, etc
  • Prepare list(s) of parts and suppliers for maintenance projects to order from outside vendors as needed
  • Perform calibrating for all furnaces in the facility
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance and testing on all electrical equipment according to manufacturer and/or plant requirements
  • Active involvement in ABS initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Must be results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under limited direction
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 30lbs (may not exceed per EHS regulations)
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand single line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Previous experience in Pryometry
