Job Description

Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for an Administrative Specialist III in our Quality Assurance department.  The role performs administrative and clerical duties.  This position will be based in our Waco, TX plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General administrative work requiring use of personal computer, calculator and various software programs. Prepares a variety of technical reports, letters, memos, filing etc.
  • Telephone duties, screening calls determining customer requirements and directing to proper Q.C. Technical Support.
  • Distribute customer correspondents, trouble reports/complaints, daily mail to proper Q.C. Personnel.
  • Maintain confidential records and documents.
  • Maintain appointment book and schedules for Quality Department.
  • Maintain internal and external updates of supplies files/trend charts/supplier history/schedule supplier audits.
  • Responsible for validation and certification of quality control documents as required.
  • Maintain document and specification files including working knowledge.
  • Knowledge of chemical collection, analysis and maintenance of data (back up for Lab Technician I). 
  • Perform duties in gage and tool calibration data input and analysis.
  • Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Arconic Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Prepares cert packages upon request
Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of data processing skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to modify software programs as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills to interface effectively with vendors and internal/external customers. 


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years experience in secretarial or administrative practices
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution preferred
