Job Description

Position Description: Compiles information and records to prepare accounts payable to assure payments of materials services by performing the following duties. Position Duties: •Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions. •Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases. •Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment. •Alert manager of problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills. •Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, and similar items. •Prepares vouchers, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy. •Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers. •Extracts general ledger information. •Reconciles report discrepancies and problems. •Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures. •Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections. •Completes Bank Reconciliation and reconciles to the General Ledger •Other duties may be assigned.   Skills/Competencies •Analytics •Problem Solving •Interpersonal Skills •Oral Communication •Collaborative •Ethics •Planning/Organizing •Dependability •Confidentiality

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED equivalent •Must be 18 years of age or older •Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. •This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: •One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Experience with SAP Manufacturing software •Experience with Microsoft Excel
