Arconic has an immediate need for an Accounting Managerin either our New Brighton, MN or Big Lake, MN facilities.

The Accounting Manager will report to the Division Controller and be responsible for oversight of the accounting activities at the divisional facilities. Responsibilities include managing the monthly accounting and finance functions, including Sarbanes-Oxley internal control compliance requirements. This position will also oversee general ledger management and financial statement reporting and analysis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices and Company policy.
  • Maintain and enforce appropriate accounting controls and the business unit's compliance with the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley internal control program.
  • Ensure compliance with stated business process controls, including SOX related controls.
  • Coordinate with internal/external auditors on the execution of financial, operational, and internal control audits.
  • Identify, understand, and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows.
  • Investigate variances between actual results and budget/forecast.
  • Provide operational support to the business unit GM, other managers as necessary.
  • Manage customer invoicing, rep commissions, fixed assets, payroll, cash, A/P and A/R functions.
  • Special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution;
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office with extensive Excel knowledge/experience;
  • Experience with an integrated ERP system, specifically IFS;
  • CPA or CMA certification;
  • Hyperion experience;
  • Previous experience managing the accounting function.
