Arconic Engines is seeking a Staff Accountant to perform month-end journal entries and reconciliations. This position will also complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting. The position is located at our aerospace manufacturing plant in Fontana, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Manages fixed assets and construction in progress account.
  • Review and maintain Goods Received Not Invoiced.
  • Complete and publish the daily P & L reporting.
  • Completes financial reporting (M-Form and other supplemental forms).
  • Assists with gathering and reporting data for budget and forecasts.
  • Supports in system upgrades and changes.
  • Assists in sales & margin reporting and analysis.
  • Assists with yearend internal and external audits.
  • Assists in annual income tax packages.
  • Supports receivables and payables as necessary.
  • Assists in periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations. Research variances and discrepancies as needed.
  • Work with the Accounting Manager to implement and maintain standard costing.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Excel, Access, and/or Crystal.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks in a fast paced environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Institution
  • Minimum 1 year of Accounting experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer the Bachelor’s Degree is in Accounting, Finance, or Business, from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of Accounting experience
  • Accounting experience in Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Cost Accounting
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Financial reporting and inventory/cost experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced proficiency level with Excel, Access, and/or Crystal.
