Job Description

This opening is with Arconic Power and Propulsion – a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets. For more information on Arconic, visit us online at www.arconic.com/

This will be located in Plant 10 and will support manufacturing by leading and providing focused projects that will improve throughput, reduce inventory & reduce operating expense. Will lead and engage employees to drive reduction labor costs through cellular manufacturing & new/improved methods & equipment. Must be able to apply standard practices & techniques, adjust & correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results & take corrective action. Will document work & prepare technical notes/reports, establish customer contacts (internal & external) as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering, from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years experience in related manufacturing engineering functions.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Synchronous manufacturing, Kaizen
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Excellent leadership skills that create an engaged employee environment
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, managers, and employees.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Experience with CAD.
  • Ability to analyze time studies to set labor standards, mechanical ability that would allow the search for new and better equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to the manufacturing areas.
  • Experience in the investment casting industry a plus
  • Good financial literacy
