Job Description

This role will be responsible for the direction and coordination of repair, preventive & corrective maintenance, and installation activities within the assigned operations.  
  1. Manage an effective team, includes planning, motivates, coaches, and trains to aquire maximum quality, productivity, morale, and cooperation, approving time and attendance, prioritizing and making work assignments.
  2. Insures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
  3. Reviews job orders to determine work priorities. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
  4. Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
  5. Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of electric power, chill water system, and compressed air system for required operations.
  6. Reviews maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
  7. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
  8. Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operation, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
  9. Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with management.
  10. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
  11. Reviews work procedures for safety regulations and concerns.
  12. Directs training of department employees to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
  13. Confers with management, engineering, quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  14. Communicates safety and management issues to the department.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Mechanical Engineer, ISO/AS9100, and NADCAP certifications
  • Bilingual English-Spanish
  • 3+ years of experience in management of Maintenance area
  • PC skills, including a high proficiency in Microsoft Office package
  • Written & verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and initiative to develop the position’s activities
  • Self-starter
