Job Description

This position is responsible for the mechanical design of molds and dies. The individual may work independently or as part of a design team to satisfy customer requirements. Provides data and documentation necessary for the manufacture of the product internally or by external supplier.


Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of tooling design and fabrication experience.
  • Due to ITAR restrictions, applicants must be US citizens or have permanent resident status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
 
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Fluency with CAD/CAM software
  • Sound understanding of engineering drafting principles
  • 3+ years tooling design and fabrication experience.
  • Capture 3D inspection and analysis experience a plus.
  • Experience in the design of turbine/airfoil mold and dies.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of engineering drafting principles.
  • Knowledge of material properties, as related to die design.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software.
  • Ability to effectively work/communicate as part of a project team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and activities.
