Arconic Fastening Systems is looking for a Team Leader to lead, facilitate and coordinate assembly personnel in collaboration with the Operations Team to attain quality and effectively in the manufacture and assembly of AFS installation tooling.  This position is in their manufacturing facility in Kingston, NY.

Job duties and Responsibilities:
  • Involves production personnel in decisions effecting the manufacture, assembly, and repair of AFS installation equipment.  Collaborates with factory personnel to carryout production and resource requirement plans in order to meet AFS and Customer quality and delivery expectations;
  • Supports the training and development of skills and teamwork. Assists in assessing individual and group performance and skills.  Coaches and counsels’ employees about improving performance of job duties and responsibilities;
  • Coordinates work and vacation schedules.  Assures adherence to labor contract, attendance, and other policies;
  • Facilitates development of new process methods and improvements.  Facilitates production personnel in solving quality, process, machining, and other manufacturing related problems;
  • Instructs employees on safe work practices and assures they are properly followed.  Maintains good housekeeping practices.
  • Facilitates and coordinates communication of needs and requirements with other production cells and support departments. 
  • Assures forms and reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner, (e.g., Labor Vouchers, Shortage Tags, Dispatch List, etc.).
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Education Requirements:
  • Minimum of Bachelors’ degree required.  Preferred to be in Manufacturing Engineering
 Basic Qualifications Requirements:
  • One-year assembly process environment or working with electrical and pneumatic schematics;
  • Two years’ experience in leadership responsibility;
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
