Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.



This opening is in our Kawneer business which is located in Visalia,CA.  We are the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

SUMMARY:  Leads custom door and frame fabrication lines

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:


  • Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.

  • Identifies material by part number and product finish.

  • Knowledge and ability to follow the MDR scrap material process.

  • Performs quality inspections and reports errors.

  • Complete checklists, reports, and logs as needed.

  • Effectively problem solves departmental issues, engages in ABS activities as well as engaging others in these areas. 

  • Respond to fabrication issues in a timely matter.

  • Multi-task and handle several issues at a time.

  • Take inventory and account for hardware coming in and out of the dept.

  • Sequences the work in the lines daily.

  • Lead by example using and promoting the Arconic Values.


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available at this time. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One to six months related work experience is preferred (leadership duties).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, hardware templates, takeoffs, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, peers, and supervisors. 
  • Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with and respond to problems in work situations.
  • Able to measure to 1/32 of an inch.
  • Proficient in JDE, Outlook, and Excel.
