Position Summary: Supplier Quality Engineer- Aerospace and Defense Engineering support for product/process quality by collecting data, performing analysis, and interpreting results to implement solutions and/or improvements for testing and inspection and for the reduction of process variability. Performs collective analysis to mitigate risks by implementing corrective or preventive actions or initiating continuous improvements. Assures that processes exist to prevent, contain, and verify products are free of flaws and meet customer requirements. Assists in the maintenance of 3rd Party certifications. Job Duties/Responsibilities: •Assists in establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system, specifically the control of externally provided services. •Develops, reviews, and edits internal procedures for effectiveness and compliance to corporate, customer, and regulatory expectations. •Issues, coordinates, and manages supplier corrective actions. •Works closely with the supply base to collect data and prepare supplier scorecards as required per AS9100D. •Performs collective analysis and reporting: oFor training opportunities or process improvements/deficiencies oOf corrective action data for effectiveness of the corrective action process oSustaining the quality management system for improvement opportunities •Capable of facilitating within multidiscipline teams consisting of production operations, engineering, quality, suppliers, and others for corrective actions and for improvement initiatives. •Investigates the causes of product defects of externally provided services and implements changes for mitigating recurrence. •Aids in managing customer and 3rd party portals and performance requirements. •Utilizes a Corrective Action system and participates in developing the system’s expected usage/addresses the system capabilities for enhancements when possible. •Audits processes and procedures for compliance. •Performs supplier audits/surveillances when needed. •Serves as a change agent. •Active participant in the material review process. •Manages customer relationships and customer expectations related to quality. •Manages supplier relationships and communicates expectations related to quality. •Participates in Kaizen activities and other LEAN programs. •Drives quality excellence by strong team working skills. •Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications: •2 years relevant experience within the Aerospace Manufacturing industry and Quality experience. ◦Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. ◦This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred Qualifications: •Must possess an understanding of AS9100D and its requirements. •Excellent computer skills. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project, and Q-Pulse. •Formal problem solving skills •The ability to develop corrective actions •Ability to work with work process flow and control plans •Experience with metal fabrication & finishing, SPF and sheet metal forming a plus. •Experience in process management/improvement. •Prior quality system auditing experience preferred. •SAP experience •Experience with lean manufacturing ideology is a plus. •Strong communicator, facilitator, team player and leader, must be a strong decision maker. •Ability to learn, understand and maintain NADCAP, AMS 2750, Industry and Customer specification requirements. •Knowledge and familiarity with BP’s (GD&T)
