Position Description 

This is a critical Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) Account Manager position that will be responsible for the strategic development, planning and execution of comprehensive customer strategies with Siemens, a key IGT account.  Position is preferred to be based in Hampton, VA; however, qualified candidates who can work from another Arconic site based in the US will be considered. This position may require substantial travel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute an overall market-based customer strategy that adds value to existing customer relationships and leads to profitable growth of existing business and enables related new business development.
  • Understand the customer’s organization, business culture, and market to best position our company to serve their needs.
  • Forge strong, trusting collaborative relationships at all levels with key customer contacts and across the entire Arconic business unit.
  • Responsible for successful Long-Term Agreement (LTA) life cycle management (pricing and portfolio management) with assigned critical customer
  • Identify and effectively utilize customer satisfaction metrics to improve business performance and our relationship with the customer.
  • Provide effective open items tracking/resolution with plant and field staff and coordinate with internal personnel to satisfy customer requirements and provide effective mediation for customer disputes
  • Support working capital management goals through effective tactics and strategies including accounts receivable, terms and conditions for on-going base business and extraordinary items such as large tooling requirements.
  • Forecast market trends to assigned account; budget and LRP process for assigned account.
  • Operate effectively in a highly technical environment
  • Achieve short and long-term strategic sales goals

Knowledge/Skills Requirements
  • Results driven. Demonstrated effective sales performance and customer relations skills and with significant customers. 
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills in support of business planning, strategy development / deployment, relationship management and conflict resolution
  • Outstanding communicator in every setting
  • Effective negotiating and influence skills at all organizational levels
  • Effective in matrix organization
  • Able to build strong and lasting business relationships.
  • Strong technical, industry and functional sales/marketing experience
  • Willing to travel, as required including internationally



Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from accredited institution
  • 7 Years experience in customer service/sales
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the aerospace or gas turbine industry
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Business is preferred.
  • High level of competency in Excel, PowerPoint, and related computer skill
  • Experience within the IGT Industry 
  • Experience in Program or Project Management
