Job Description

Job Summary: Prepares shipping documents and performs variety of systematic entries to arrange trucking/transport bookings and execute shipments of sheet packages/pallets to domestic and international customers. Includes creation and preparation of Bill of Ladings, Certificate of Compliance and customs clearance documents. Document preparation and electronic execution to achieve goods movements and postings in a timely manner. Interaction daily with production staff and Lab staff to provide coordination of shipping efforts. Frequently provides status of shipment expectation and schedule as well as fielding requests for special handling and expedites. Maintains positive attitude and cooperative approach to achieve business goals and objectives in a challenging and fast paced Mfg. environment. Fundamental Duties: •Diligent and organized approach to document creation and management of shipping actions. •Reads various work orders and operational records and enters such data as customer specifications. •Reports issues encountered that threaten schedules and offer solutions to resolve when needed. •Clear communications and coordination with various departments and associated staff. •Receiving shipments and processing related paperwork. •Transports documents when need to required areas throughout facility. •Employee will be expected to handle waste material properly and ensure proper container, labeling, storage and shipping procedures are followed per the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Alcoa Titanium Engineering Product (ATEP) procedures. •Employee may be required to respond to chemical, oil or acid spills appropriately using onsite spill response and training provided in accordance with RCRA and ATEP procedures . •Other duties as assigned Skill & Competency Requirements: •Comprehension of various documents including Pack lists, BOL, CofC, work orders and sales orders. •Required to read and interpret production orders and safety, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals •Must work a full-time schedule and overtime as required •SAP and Excel experience is preferred. •Must have basic computers skills •Must have problem solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work with others
