Arconic is currently in search of a Senior Manager, International Tax to join the Finance/Tax resource group in Pittsburgh, PA.
This position is responsible for the international tax aspects of the US tax compliance for international operations.  The position will also include various special assignments on an as needed basis including tax research and documentation, tax data management, and transfer pricing. The position will also have some involvement in the tax accounting process to ensure the accurate reporting of the international components of the Company’s worldwide effective tax rate.
Major Activities/Key Challenges:
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of US international tax forms including 5471, 8858 and 8865.
  • Involvement with GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F calculations as well as foreign tax credit calculation and preparation of Form 1118.
  • Review of tax packages and coordinating data flows into the tax returns.
  • Participate in compiling tax and financial information for decision making.
  • Conduct research on tax issues and prepare written documentation of conclusions.
  • Assist with the preparation of global transfer pricing studies and documentation.
  • Provide support to the tax accounting group on a quarterly basis on relevant tax accounting issues.
  • Various special assignments as needed, including:
    • Assist with foreign country tax planning.
    • Analysis of internal restructurings and external mergers and acquisition activities.
    • Gain/Loss calculations and basis studies.
    • Assist with federal and state tax compliance.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of corporate income tax experience including a minimum of 5 years of US outbound international tax experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with international sections of US income tax law and regulations including Subpart F and the foreign tax credit.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Master’s in Taxation or J.D. from an accredited institution.
  • High level of willingness to continuing self-education.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft and CorpTax products.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Detail oriented but with an ability to understand and work toward the bigger picture.
  • A team player that takes pride in not only the individual's work but the work of the entire group.
  • Self-confident and motivated, a self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision.
