Building and Construction Systems, a business unit of Arconic, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry.  Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) helps architects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their own groundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond® %7C Reynolux® products.  We serve the global market with manufacturing facilities in Eastman, Georgia USA and Merxheim, France, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
We have an immediate opening for a Quality Manager for the Eastman, GA Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) plant.  Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Manager supervises and directs daily Quality functions for AAP Eastman, GA.
The primary purpose of this role is the successful improvement and sustainability of AAP’s Quality Assurance system and management of Quality Assurance activities regarding quality policy, process control, customer quality specifications, technology, data acquisition and compliance of Arconic corporate quality standards.
The Eastman, GA facility supports the Reynobond composite line, 1 cut-to-length line, and Finished goods products.  The Quality Manager is responsible to drive reduction in vendor & customer claims, implement and maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification, oversee root cause analysis of vendor & customer claims issued, monitors third party QC, manages process controls for manufacturing, calibration of measuring devices, and documentation for the location.  Quality Manager also provides leadership and guidance to Quality department.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
  • Materials review
  • Vendor & customer corrective action requests
  • Departmental budget
  • Hourly payroll for QC employees
  • Process management for operation production centers
  • Performance management for QC department.
  • Interact with external customers and sales representatives regarding customer complaints and product claims.
  • Oversee 6 direct reports.
  • Acts as customer advocate in product quality standards
  • Works with plant personnel concerning incoming raw material and finished product quality
  • Represents Quality Assurance with suppliers regarding raw material specifications, quality and reliability
  • Act as liaison for corporate quality standards.


Basic Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited institution
  • 3 years of experience in an operations / manufacturing environment required 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing environment
  • ISO 9001 experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Effective written and oral communication, working with multifunctional teams and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, problem solving, and root cause analysis needed
