Job Description

Work as a multi-functional team member to build a shelled pattern using Product Criteria and Robots. This position will also be required to clean work area and robot cell area as needed, including sweeping and mopping the floor.
•         Must be able to work and function in a fast-paced environment.
•         Basic knowledge of computers
•         Assemble a hanger of molds
•         Maintain expected quality levels
•         Have adequate computer skills to enter the data into the computer system, and retrieve it
•         Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
•         Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.
•         Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
•         Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to:  EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the LaPorte Employee Guidebook.


Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Auto-line Load
•         Load patterns onto line using light weight manipulator
•         Input necessary data into computer
•         Apply latex spray when necessary
•         Maintain the auto line materials.
•         Help out in other areas as needed
Robot 7
•         Load patterns
•         Input necessary data into computer
•         Apply latex spray when necessary
•         Maintain the Robot 7 materials.
•         Core-fill or Hand dip as needed
•         Maintain Primary cabana organization
Robot 8
•         Pull molds when required out of Primary cabana to load
•         Input necessary data into computer
•         Maintain the Robot 8 materials.
•         Apply bracing as needed
•         Maintain Back up cabana organization    
Collar Grind
•         Unload molds
•         Pull necessary data out of computer
•         Carefully remove gasket
•         Maintain wheelabrator
*Work overtime as needed.
Monoshell Operator – Dip Maker:
Job responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
•         Performs dip coat manufacturing by following basic processing setups; i.e., combines and mixes ingredients as indicated in written formula.
•         Performs viscosity check and plate weight check of dip coats on hand dip, automatic line and face coat line twice per shift, and makes necessary adjustments using independent judgment.
•         Transports dip and manually refills pots on automatic and face coat lines.
•         Periodically cleans dip pots and drains taps.
•         May be required to perform duties of a Monoshell Operator as needed.
•         High School diploma or GED equivalency required.
Skills and Abilities:
•         Ability to read and interpret written instructions
•         Ability to follow verbal directions and instructions
•         Ability to work with their hands on delicate materials
•         Ability to do multiple tasks and remain organized. 
•         Experience is preferred but not required.

Employee is required to execute the following:
  • Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving and moving various items
  • Lifting intermittently. Typically, assistance would be provided for weights exceeding 35 pounds.
  • Good manual dexterity - position may require more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments
  • Squatting / crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, making equipment / product inspections, etc
  • Standing approximately 80% of their shift.
  • Clean work areas and maintain a clean work environment; perform 5S cleaning activities as required.

Work Environment:

Duties are performed primarily in manufacturing areas where compliance with applicable safety rules is required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is moderate.
