Arconic is currently in search of a Manager, Engineering Systems and Technical Documentation, to join our Kawneer business in Norcross, GA.
Kawneer is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Kawneer is part of Arconic’s global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. 
Manager, Engineering Systems and Technical Documentation provides functional management and technical leadership for Engineering Systems and Technical Documentation teams through the product lifecycle for the North American Product Development Team
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Technical Authoring and Drafting group under the direction of the Director, Product Development
  • Manage the processes and standards in which all engineering and technical documentation are created
  • Ownership of engineering change system and standards
  • Collaborate with cross functional client stakeholders from Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing and IT to improve and deploy engineering software & systems
  • Maintains knowledge of state-of-the-art PDM technology, trends and developments; serves as technical consultant
  • Monitors and supports all engineering system applications (Vault, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, Daptiv, Paligo, etc) and other engineering related software
  • Develops and maintains reporting and drives root cause analysis towards improving overall delivery
  • Support and continued development of Digital Automation Strategy
  • Management of installations, licensing, upgrades, migrations as related to engineering systems
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and conducting engineering system related training


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in Engineering leadership position
  • 3 years of experience in PDM/PLM, Engineering, Design or Product Development
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced working knowledge of a variety of CAD/PDM products with additional working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Experience in managing implementation of CAD/PDM systems
