Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Machinist III for our CNC department on 2nd Shift for our Sylmar, CA location.

Key Responsibilities:
•       Good communication skills & know basic shop math
•       Ability to work in fast paced environment
•       Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, policies and procedure in English
•       Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required          
•       Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly              
•       Able to follow and carryout instructions
•       Ability Perform LOTO 
•       Ability to load and unload parts from machine
•       Ability to use SPC during operation for dimensions through measurement for accuracy of parts
•       Become familiar with the Daily Management board and understand covered topics as required
•       Must be able to perform entry level set-ups                                           
•       Must understand the speeds and feeds pertaining to the machine they are operating (where applicable)                                  
•       Must have knowledge of all measuring instruments and gages for their operation
•       Must be able to check and properly measure manufacturing parts to required parameters
•       Perform Preventative Maintenance sheet       
Key Requirements:
•       Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as scheduled
•       Must be able to work in fast-paced environment
•       Must follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain quality of work environment


  Basic Qualifications:
•       Highschool diploma or GED required
•       Minimum of 1 years’ experience in CNC required
•       Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
•       This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.  ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
•       Previous experience in fastener industry preferred
