Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a Global Supply Chain Logistics Analyst to assist in management of large, high-profile, strategic OEM customers and to Support multiple internal and external customers, resolve their issues by working with Global Supply Chain, Sales, Quality Assurance, Shipping Departments and Manufacturing Sites. This position is located at the AFS aerospace distribution facility in Simi Valley, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administers/ reviews customer contracts & blanket orders, re: price, quantity, delivery, terms, conditions.
  • Performs order entry and contract review.
  • Downloads customers’ web-based/other demand & inventory data daily/as necessary.
  • Reviews customer’s demand & inventory data daily/as necessary to release customer orders for shipping to manage customer demand and inventory levels.  
  • Provides price, delivery, other operational information to customers.
  • Participate in deciding quantity allocation for multiple customers when inventory is insufficient to meet customer’s expectations.
  • Coordinates with other functions (shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, IS, purchasing and QA) to provide response to customer.
  • Discusses demand, forecasts, inventory requirements, inventory levels, and fluctuations in consumption and schedule changes with customers.
  • Coordinates follow-up between customer and manufacturing sites to better support customer needs.
  • Reviews/analyses order status and WIP at sites by reviewing site MRP systems screens and recommends expedite in WIP at sites as necessary.
  • Resolves routine customer issues and assists in resolving more complex issues. 
  • Coordinates RMAs and CERs to resolve order discrepancies.
  • Recommends improvements for inbound and outbound product flows, inventory movement, inventory levels, product consolidation and shipment (multiple facilities, between facilities, to customer as appropriate/necessary).
  • Contributes and participates in process/ methodology/ work practices improvement.  Involves in execution of the project.
  • Utilize best practices regarding safety and regulatory import/export compliance.
  • Meets with customer on or off site as necessary.
  • Non Exempt position eligible for overtime.


Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree (in numerate/operations discipline) preferred.
  • Sound understanding of demand fulfillment/logistics/inventory management programs, preferably in fastener industry.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in ERP systems, such as Oracle, QAD/COP, other.
  • Fastener/Manufacturing Industry/related experience would be useful.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
