This opening is with Arconic - Whitehall Operations, a division of Arconic Engines - a world leader in investment casting of superalloys, aluminum and titanium primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets. For more information on Arconic, visit us online at 

This first shift position is located at the Arconic Research Center in Whitehall, MI.

As an Instrumentation Technician, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Calibrate laboratory test instruments and perform temperature uniformity surveys.
  • Record calibration results, generate reports, and write technical procedures.
  • Able to perform SPC on control standards using Mini-Tab or Excel.
  • Troubleshoot electronic equipment to board level components.
  • Able to improve processes through design, integration, calibration, and validation testing.


Basic Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or state licensed electrician.
  • Minimum of 1-year of experience in industrial electronics, instrument calibration, or manufacturing and repair experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in technical field, such as electronics technology
  • Instrument calibration and repair experience
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, and Excel)
