Calibrate various instruments throughout the plant.  Repair and maintain same instruments. Repair other electronic equipment.  Train new employees when necessary.
  • Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principles.
  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report all job-related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
  • Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend all EHS training.
  • Selects, installs, calibrates, and checks sensing, telemetering, and recording instrumentation and circuitry, and develops specifications for nonstandard apparatus according to engineering data, characteristics of equipment under test, and capabilities of procurable test apparatus.
  • Troubleshoots control logic through PLC interface using software to isolate and repair fault conditions.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment.
  • Uses computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce graphs.
  • Must be able to perform the duties of “A” Electrician
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot simple circuits.
  • Read both mechanical and electronical drawings.
  • Conduct equipment surveys and data collections.
  • Conduct P.M.’s which are related to instrumentation.
  • Must keep accurate records of calibrations in accordance with predetermined ISO and customer specifications.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. 
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • PPE Required: Hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, and safety shoes/metatarsals.

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within 50 miles radius of Dover, NJ will only be considered.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution. This position also requires a minimum of an associate degree in electronics or equivalent degree program from two-year college/technical school.
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals. 
  • Experience responding to (common) inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors, and customers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Understanding and experience with thermocouples, vacuum, gauges, humidity, tachometers, pressure gauges, and equipment diagnostic instrumentation.
  • Understanding of microprocessors, robotics, industrial maintenance, burners and furnace controls.
  • Computer literate and strong mechanical aptitude and able to use hand tools.
  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
