Job Description

Job Summary
To inspect, disposition, clean, repair, plug and wrap molds in preparation for casting.
Essential Functions
Follow Arconic’s Safety Regulations and Work Rules Handbook along with all departmental specific safety requirements.
Remove molds from dewax line and place on skids using straps and hoists.
Inspect molds and identify defects.
Disposition molds for continued processing or hold.
Clean, plug and repair molds.
Cut wrap and wrap molds.
Attach pour cups and crucibles.
Setup molds on casting trays.
Final inspect and logout molds.
Determine order of work based on work rules and priority lists.
Ability to read and follow the information on work instructions.
Record data either manually or by computer as required.
Retrieve and put away materials, tools and supplies and clean up work area.
Fill out maintenance work orders.
Take photographs and assist in developing work instructions.


Basic Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
This position requires a minimum of one to three months related experience and/or training.
  1. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
  1. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
