Arconic Fastening Systems (AFS) is seeking a skilled Nutformer for our Fullerton location.

Sets up and operates two multi-station nut formers to produce parts consistent with print specifications.
  • Independently operates and sets ups on National and Waterbury-Ferral Nut Formers producing parts to close tolerance;
  • Selects, mounts, and adjusts proper punches and die sets;
  • Assembles dies and punches using Hydraulic press;
  • Sets machine speeds, feeds and stops;
  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of metal flow capabilities of various metals to operate machines and produce parts, avoiding fractures and folds in the finished product;
  • Checks parts with standard gauges or precision measuring instruments and submits parts for “first article” inspection as required;                                                             
  • Utilizes knowledge of metal flow capabilities of various metals to operate machines and produce parts consistent with print specifications;                              
  • Recognizes improper machine functioning and/or tooling problems and takes corrective action.
