Job Description

As a critical part of the Metals management team, the role is designed to provide Financial information to the business to enable correct decision making. Important duties include the provision of timely and accurate management accounting information, via the preparation of daily metrics & performance reports, spend analyses, forecasts and budgets plus any other duties as may be required by the Plant Manager and Segment Controller.


  • Produce the month end accounts through to completion in line with AEN reporting deadlines.

  • Review accounts against plan / forecast, explaining any variances.

  • Reconcile the accounts in line with AEN ASAT requirements.

  • Ownership of the daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting processes.

  • Checkbook control and reporting versus plan/forecast.

  • Sales & margin analysis as required.

  • Improvement and audit of internal procedures.

  • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Segment Controller

  • Present data to management as and when required.

  • VAT and other statutory returns as required by the business.

  • EC Sale & Intrastat online reporting.

  • Assistance with internal & external audits.

  • Cost accounting.

  • Management of Inventory.

  • Review of production variances.

  • Capital Equipment requests and ownership of the associated accounts.

  • Review of systems and analysis of risk.

  • Maintaining records and preparing management information, including MBR packs, Forecast Review Packs and Budgetary information.

  • Post Qualification experience in amanufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Good working knowledge of Local systems &Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint – preferablyexperience in developing information systems
