Arconic Engines is seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Super Alloy Facility located in Dover, NJ. The Electrical Engineer will be part of the technical team that is responsible for site wide reliability, maintenance and engineering activities as well as the process owner for maintaining all foundry instrumentation verifications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFICATIONS
  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and manage existing or new EHS program(s) across the business, as assigned.
  • Expected to comply with and champion Arconic’s principles as outlined in our value and policy statements.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects, as well as working with a group. Must be eager to expand knowledge base as well as teach others. Must be detail oriented
  • Assist the operational, technical and engineering teams in the manufacturing environment on the plant floor, balancing business needs and financial metrics with continuous improvement, and the personal, professional, and analytical toolset necessary to accomplish these goals.
  • Engineer will be part of the technical team dedicated and committed to implementing world-class manufacturing and reliability methods and processes for all foundry applications.
  • Responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard electrical engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Assist in project conceptualization/feasibility, preliminary engineering & design, detailed engineering & design, work planning, working with vendor in specifying / ordering / testing appropriate equipment, and project execution support.
  • The position is a first shift position and the role will require a minor amount of travel (0 -10%) depending on active projects.


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires US person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
  • Verification of Employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is preferred
  • Exposure and experience in vacuum processes, VIP / Triline Power Supplies, foundry and gas turbine industry is strongly desired.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications such as AutoCAD, MS Office and PLC programming languages. Site prefers the usage of Allen Bradley Ladder Logic.
  • Demonstrated understanding of control systems and diverse electrical equipment associated with heavy manufacturing facility.
  • Understanding of high voltage electric equipment such as transformers, power supplies, circuit breakers, capacitors, metal enclosed capacitors, switchgears including circuit breakers, current/potential transformers, disconnect switches, circuit switches and substation
  • Experience with managing an instrumentation database as well as responsible for providing maintenance support for the uninterrupted operation of essential instrumentation, controls and electrical equipment.
  • Understanding of NESC/ANSI/IEEE/NEMA codes and standards as they relate to electrical engineering and design.
