To manage the departmental, spend in line with the EH&S budget
Drive continuous improvement throughout the business, define the highest standards required for HS&E
To act as Senior HS&E Representative, liaise with employees
Production of accurate and timely H&S statistics and analysis
To provide professional support for the management team and all other employees, ensuring legal requirements are adhered to
To liaise with the Group Health and Safety function as required
To produce training material, manage and seek out relevant training requirements, source training providers and/or deliver structured training to the management and all other employees to enhance their job skills and meet personal development needs and to meet legal requirements
Prepare a health and safety strategy and develop internal policy across all sites
Carry out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced
Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented;
Plan practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, of promoting health and safety and safe working practices;
Attend safety committee meetings;
Negotiate with managers and operators to try to eliminate conflict between production and safety considerations
Make relevant changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation;
Keep accurate records of incidents and accidents
Keep records of inspections findings and producing reports suggesting improvements;
Keep up to date with new legislation
To liaise with officials from the regulatory authorities to ensure the organization is compliant with mandatory regulations
Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins
Carry out accident investigations on site and producing subsequent reports and recommendations
Carry out fire drills
Any other adhoc duties as required

Preferably educated to Degree level within a relevant discipline
