Job Description

Arconic AES Niles Melt and Mill Operations is seeking a compensation analyst with high energy and drive. This position is accountable for coordinating a broad range of incentive programs, industrial engineering, and financial analysis activities. Essential Functions
    • Calculating weekly payroll incentives for a large skilled workforce
    • Review earnings reports for accurate payment of base earnings, overtime, incentives and holiday pay
    • Annual updates of vacation rates, accruals and wage increases 
    • Performing job function analysis to ensure job functions align to compensation profile
    • Develop understanding and expertise of Collective Bargaining Agreement
    • Providing general accounting support ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place, Corporate Policies are followed, account reconciliations are completed, and aged items are monitored until resolution.
    • Supporting the monthly closing process
    • Collaborate across functions to drive profitability through process improvement and operations support
    • Performing other duties as assigned.
       
      Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Manufacturing Experience – this position is in a heavy manufacturing facility and the knowledge of and interest in manufacturing operations will be integral to success in this role.
    • Technology Skills — Accounting and Finance software: Hyperion, SAP; Spreadsheet software: Advanced Microsoft Excel Ability; Office Suite software: Microsoft Office i.e. Microsoft Access and Visual Basic desirable
    • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
    • Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

Basic Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution, or relative experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounting, Compensation, or Industrial Engineering 
  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’) Political Asylee, or Refugee.  
     
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • 3+ years' experience in Compensation, Industrial, Payroll in a manufacturing environment
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), CMA or CPA
  • Experience with Hyperion & Oracle
