Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to be the Commercial SPA for Arconic Savannah location, Strong customer connection and liaison with technical and manufacturing leadership is required to increase participation with existing and new customer targets. Major customers include: Snecma / Safran, GE Aviation, Rolls Royce, Pratt Whitney / UTC Corporation, Solar.
Essential Functions:
This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
  • Lead and guide the Savannah Customer Service Department
  • Develop the product and revenue pipeline including lead tracking, opportunity identification, sales forecasts with input from sales, value propositions, addressing customer questions and managing product related reporting through standard Arconic systems.
  • Develop strong relationships with targeted OE customers and position Arconic as a preferred provider through our technical and account management teams.  This includes market segmentation, customer relationship management in support of sales, and product positioning.
  • Finalize and deliver product quotes to the customer, assist in negotiation and close the sale.
  • Proactively educate the customer base on Arconic product offerings and consolidate competitor and market related intelligence gathered from various sources (including field sales and other Arconic marketing teams).
  • Product related reporting, bookings and integrated plans
  • Long term product development vision in support of the market.
  • Sales forecast, analytics and bookings reports/consolidation.
  • Sales contract Estimating and Pricing Support.
  • Product and competitor intelligence.
  • Final quoting and transactional pricing / key contracts.
  • Develop the product growth pipeline and coordinate revenue sales plan goals.
  • Collaboration across departments, New Product Development, Program Management, Location Supply Chain.

  • Strong project management and internal negotiation skills:  The idea candidate will have the vision and leadership to work with internal operations and supply chain management organizations to drive improved performance, ultimately leading to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Strong critical thinking ability: The ideal candidate will have with the capability of driving abstract growth strategies into the forging product line at an accelerated pace through rapid solution innovation.
  • Strong execution skills: The ideal candidate will have strong execution experience and be familiar with all aspects of the innovation and partnering with the application development process and integrated supply chain. He/she will have hands-on experience with customer needs mapping, expressing these needs as highly innovative solutions, design development and implementation. The candidate will be experienced managing significant projects specifically in support of broader growth initiatives.
  • Strong business development competence: The ideal candidate will have exceptional strengths in selling technical concepts and visions to the customers. He/she will have a proven track record of developing innovative ideas to solve customer problems and translating those ideas into actionable plans in regards to programs and revenue. He/she will have a high desire to own the business and a strong internal drive to succeed.
  • Strategic orientation: The successful candidate will have the experience in developing product strategies and plans that incorporate competitive issues, trends in industry and external factors. He/she will understand how to integrate market and competitive trends and other issues into a coherent vision for change and link this vision into a series of initiatives and priorities that are compelling and logical.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years minimum Aerospace commercial (sales and/or marketing) experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years in Aerospace Industry with Aerospace commercial experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong customer relationship management skills and a proven track record in driving market volume, revenue generation and start up product lines.  They will have demonstrated success in developing and commercializing new products in an existing metals marketplace. 
  • Understanding of the Forging Process, basic metallurgy, and basic supply chain management in order to understand the areas of value in order to determine appropriate value pricing strategies and competitive pricing strategies – and when each applies.
