The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) Manager oversees an engineering department of Engineers and support staff. The role is to set the direction of the team, manage performance, and deliver results to support the overall business needs. Operationally and commercially, the departmental objectives are to drive out complexity and install standardization of product, Lead forward planning activities for managing product and project driven engineering changes in manufacturing and to provide product adaptations to service the needs of external customers. This position will oversee internal applications design and manufacturing engineering disciplines and will be the principle contact with new product development to verify the manufacturing capabilities before launch. Responsibilities also include supervising the work of the engineering team. Assign, supervise and direct work performed by engineers. Keep Planning function and team abreast of on-going jobs. Improves work methods and skill levels of the personnel through on the job training. Monitors employee performance and provide appropriate coaching and development. Conduct inspections of product/process before, during and after the completion of the job. Establishes and plans engineering priorities with Operations, Commercial Front End, and New Product Development. Manages implementations of engineering change process, advanced product quality planning process with support from cross functional resources. Manages implementation of project specific engineering releases (including validation through prototypes. Coordinates with operations the launch of new products, new product options, and new processes to ensure manufacturability and operational readiness. Manages the performance of daily, weekly, and monthly engineering process control and improvements. Promotes and assures safety conscious workforce and maintains good housekeeping practices throughout the department. Ensures product performance and cost objectives are met. Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an accredited university in engineering or manufacturing related field. 5 years of related experience.
