Within Arconic, our Aerospace and Automotive Products (AAP) division produces the widest variety of aluminum sheet and plate products in the world. The mission of AAP is to be the world’s leading supplier of aluminum sheet and plate products. To achieve the goal, Danville manufacturing processes need to be technologically sustainable, cost effective, and able to be continually improved. Just minutes outside of Champaign/Urbana our Danville, Illinois facility is experiencing significant growth.

Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance daily workflow management of over $50 million of onsite equipment. This includes:

  • Preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance programs
  • Managing an annual operating budget for repair and maintenance activities
  • Coordinating the use of outside contractors as needed to support maintenance activities for routine and special projects
  • Develop a facility capital expense budget for the continued long-term viability of production systems
  • Provide technical assistance during equipment outages and breakdowns
  • Recognize and initiate problem solving processes on important issues
  • Set and communicate priorities and actively communicate with other groups such as Production, Quality and Engineering resources
  • Lead, coach and train maintenance associates
This position is an active member of the Danville Lead Team and provides input and direction to the annual Manufacturing Plan.

Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution
•A minimum of 8 years of experience in progressively responsible maintenance roles
•A minimum 3 years supervisory experience
•Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position


Preferred Qualifications

•Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
•10 years experience in progressively responsible maintenance roles
•Experience in a metals manufacturing environment
